And that’s an understatement.
I moved. (The third move I’ve made this year).
For those of you have moved, ever, you know the huge pain-in-the-ass that it is. The planning, the boxes (oh, those damn boxes), the furniture shopping (IKEA is fun for like 1 second), the set-up, the switching mailing addresses… you get it.
Sure moving is super fun and exciting and saying #BYEFELICIA to your parents’ house for the last time is a great feeling too, but there is just so. much. work. that comes with moving.
With that, I think that I am finally settled. Furniture has been bought and assembled (-ish), internet is set up (that was a dark couple of wifi-free weeks) and more importantly, I am feeling happy and settled in my new home!
Hello, Toronto and welcome back to my blog. Stay tuned for pics of the new pad!
I finished a DIY project! I repeat: I FINISHED A DIY PROJECT. (And it feels so good). I’ve had my eye on this one for a while… since I picked up those boring and plain wooden spoons, to be exact. I just needed to make sure that I had the time, patience and supplies to finally get started. Here’s how it went.
With every pin that I pin to my “have made/will make” board on Pinterest, I have great intentions. I am not one of those pinners that pins everything willie-nillie; I contemplate what I’m about to pin, especially onto this board, ensuring that I will actually, someday, make this glitter-painted mason jar craft. But please do not ask me how many pins from this board change from “will make” to “have made”…it’s embarrassing.
As I prepare to move into a new apartment (finally living in Toronto instead of living in “Toronto”), my intentions of DIYing something are just as good, if not better, than they ever were before. I have so many plans to run to the nearest craft store and pick up all of the supplies and a gallon of ModPodge to begin. But I move out in a couple of weeks and alas, have not actually finished* any projects.
When was the last time you decorated an Easter egg? Unless you have children of your own, are actually a child yourself (you probably shouldn’t be reading this) or are just super into holidays, the answer is probably a very long time ago.
